Improving Calibration Management Systems
For the Navy, the rapid technology changes that occur today lead to even more complex challenges. These challenges are exacerbated because multiple databases are used to manage their calibration equipment configuration data.
CHALLENGE:
While the Navy integrates these systems into a new platform called the METBENCH Calibration Management System (MCMS), McKean logisticians smooth the transition process by coordinating calibration configuration data and updating data sources.

Backed up with hands on information gathered from ship visits and validations, McKean’s team is able to provide up to date information to Type Commanders and Ship Forces.
SUCCESS:
Our efforts have resulted in improved data integrity and increased confidence in calibration readiness percentages. At the same time, we have reduced Fleet technical man-hours that would have been spent trying to coordinate calibration data.
